Featured Designer: Celestino Couture

The genius behind Celestino Couture is Austin native Sergio Guadarrama, who credits the artistic energy of his hometown as a major catalyst for his creativity.

Today, Sergio applies his creative talents and knowledge of the craft of couture to design seasonless evening wear. Sergio's designs are perfectly poised between classic and contemporary persuasions. He epitomizes the architectural concepts of balance and proportion. From graceful evening gowns to chic cocktail dresses, his goal remains the same, to make all women feel beautiful.

As a full-time student earning his second Fashion Design degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Sergio established the Celestino label in 2006. The line has continued to grow under the auspices of co-founder and director Rusty Harper.

The Celestino label now features three womenswear collections: Celestino Sposa, a bridal collection featured at the House of Bridal showroom on New York's Madison Avenue, Celestino by Sergio Guadarrama, a Ready-To-Wear collection sold in stores throughout the U.S., and Celestino Couture, the designer collection which can be seen on runways and in editorials.

Featured Designer: Mem Couture

Matjaž Plošinjak and Eric Maj Poto?nik are Slovenian fashion designers, they have worked together for a brand of their own named, MEM couture. Over the last few years, MEM couture has become one of the most recognizable names of Slovenian fashion. MEM has collaborated with various individuals and companies from the media world, culture, music, and entertainment. The brand MEM couture always remains loyal to its distinguishable image, peculiar silhouette and recognizable details.

Mem devotes time and energy to their craft while focusing on the unique identity of an individual. A strong concept is always the base of their creative process. They try to interpret stories though garments & accessories while playing with re-creating human proportions, symbiosis of contrast textiles and patterns.

Matjaž Plošinjak and Eric Maj Poto?nik work in Slovenia and also abroad. The vision of MEM couture is focused on the development of its brand. They plan on staying a constant presence within the world of fashion design.

Featured Supermodel: Jaslene Gonzalez

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, this All-American Latina (of Puerto Rican decent) harbored aspirations of modeling as a preteen. "I'd pose in front of my mirror in my room, staring at the inspirational collages of the supermodels on my wall", admits Jaslene.

Taking her cues from Gisele Bündchen, Liya Kebede, and Tyra Banks the starlet has studied and embraced the journey to becoming a supermodel. "You've got to live it, breath it, and feel it because modeling is an art form and I am an artist," says Jaslene.

In September 2009, Jaslene transcended the modeling industries of North America and embarked on an international tour in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. While overseas, Jaslene had the honor of walking the runway for the King and Queen of Malaysia for the King and Queen of Malaysia in the heralded Islamic Fashion Week.

Jaslene reveals," The experience transformed me. I was exposed to so many vastly different perceptions of beauty and fashion. I was overwhelmingly honored to be a part of it all." She also amassed numerous print covers and editorials including those in Faces Magazine, EH!, Jelita, and Style Magazine, to name a few.

After returning to the states in March 2010, Jaslene immediately signed with Industry Models as a top model on both their modeling and on-air talent boards.

As Jaslene redefines the essence of the supermodel, she remains very humble and hungry for continued success. She looks forward to not only perfecting her craft as a model and an on-camera personality, but also extending her reach far beyond the covers of magazines and runways.

Jaslene works tirelessly on her charity, Wish Bone™ a foundation whose basic principles revolve around empowering young women against domestic violence, fostering self love and building inner confidence.

In the ever changing fashion world, Jaslene used her experience as the winner of America's Next Top Model Cycle 8 to develop and refine her craft, while evolving into one of the fashion's elite most sought after faces.

The twenty-three year-old rising star is living out her dream scoring a multitude of modeling campaigns and covers, ranging from coveted cosmetics giant CoverGirl to Garnier Cosmetics, Teen Vogue, Seventeen, and Latina magazines. In addition to her natural beauty and talent, Jaslene's rise to fame as a leading top model is particularly marked by her determination. Jaslene currently resides in New York.
